This Privacy Policy explains how Now Playing (a Gorlami LLC application) ("Gorlami," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Now Playing mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Account information — such as your name, email address, profile picture, and profile details you provide when you sign up.
  • Your activity in the app — the movies and shows you log, add to your watchlist, or rate, along with any reviews, comments, and lists you create.
  • Social connections — the accounts you follow and who follows you.
  • Usage information — such as device type, app version, and basic analytics that help us understand how the Service is used.

2. Sign in with Google

Now Playing offers Sign in with Google. If you choose it, we request only your basic Google profile information — your name, email address, and profile picture — and we use it solely to create, identify, and secure your Now Playing account, to display your name and photo on your profile, and to contact you about your account.

Now Playing's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described in this policy. You can revoke Now Playing's access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Keep your watchlist, ratings, and viewing history synced across your devices;
  • Enable the social features you choose to use, such as following others and sharing what you've watched;
  • Respond to your requests and provide customer support;
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Service.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With people you choose — your profile, ratings, and activity are visible to other members according to the sharing and privacy settings you select in the app.
  • With service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate the Service (for example, hosting, authentication, movie and TV catalog data, or analytics), bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • For legal reasons — when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or Now Playing.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see Delete your account.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices

You can access, update, or delete your account information from within the app or by contacting us. You may also opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
